A personalized, pre-arranged transportation service for older adults and persons with disabilities in Summit County. Provides curb-to-curb service; door-to-door service. ADA Complementary Paratransit is available for individuals with a functional disability on the same days, hours and areas as the fixed routes. SCAT will only take qualified passengers six miles for "convenience' trips such as shopping. This rule doesn't apply to "necessary' trips including medical appointments, work, higher education and nursing homes.
SCAT: $2.00 each way, ADA: $2.50 each way
Call the Information Line to register over the phone if you are age 62 or older. If you have a disability that prohibits you from using regular line service, you may call to request a METRO SCAT card application. The application must be completed by both you and your doctor. Once SCAT receives a completed application, staff will review it and issue you a photo ID if you are eligible.
