Father John Hilkert Ozanam Center

Information provided by: the Area Agency on Aging 10B, Inc.

The Ozanam Center is a place where low income people can come and get canned food, fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, etc. as available, once a month, clothing, and furniture (after a home visit). The purpose of the center is to help families & individuals stretch their money from one month to the next. Donations: 1. Food/Clothing: Anyone who wishes to donate food or clean usable clothing may drop it off when the center is open on Saturdays. 2. Furniture: Furniture must be in good condition since the SVDP has no facilities to clean or repair any item; disposing of it when it cannot be given away is expensive.

I have volunteered at the Fr. Hilkert Center in Akron and think they do a great job of providing for needy people.
